At our Wellness Spa Retreat we use hydrotherapy which may
be defined as the use of water, in any of its forms, for the
maintenance of health or the treatment of disease.
Not all water is equal
As far as science is concerned, water is thought to be an
organically dead chemical substance, with different sequential
forms, and with a cycle from the atmosphere to the sea. Actually,
the mysteries of water are similar to those of the blood in
the human body. In Nature, normal functions are fulfilled by
water just as blood provides many important functions for mankind.
To day, where nearly all the healthy springs are either dried
up or the water is diverted from its source and is led through
badly constructed pipes, all of life is dependent upon stale
and therefore unhealthy water. Water supplied to housing estates
for human consumption through inferior systems is infected
with chemicals. It is desperately important to rediscover Nature’s
ways if human beings, animals and the land are to be saved
from decline and the earth is not to die of thirst. It is only
Nature which can and must be our teacher. If we want to be
healthy we cannot merely rely on local mechanical or hydraulic
action for our water supplies. We must try to understand how
Mother Nature transforms water into the life blood of the planet
and makes available to us, pure and life giving.
Living water
In the beginning as the earth cooled down, clusters of water
molecules gained protons and tremendous energy with every expansion-contraction
inherent in Nature. Today water lacks energy, because it has
not been subjected to expansion-contraction. Distilled water
is the worst because keeping water at boiling point for hours
reduces the action potential which is necessary for life. This
water is cannot hold a charge, cannot accept protons, is like
a battery that runs dry. It is clinically dead. The water consumed
at present lacks oxygen, and though many have tried to put
oxygen back into water, these methods failed. Water which has
gone through the process of expansion-contraction has a larger
molecule, the molecular weight is constant. The angle between
the hydrogen atoms is 10 degrees greater than city or bottled
water. It has a crystalline structure at room temperature that
is dodecahydronal (12 planes). This living water is served
at our retreat and put to work at our Health and Wellness Spa
Retreat.
Results of water research
Living water is able to form clusters. This happens because
of the dipole structure of water molecules. The cluster structure
of water allows information to be stored, in a similar way
to tape recorders. At body temperature, some 300- 400 water
molecules link to from a cluster in the carrier medium. Depending
on the information in question, different spatial structure
patterns form. Remedies delivered with this water will be present
in substance, but the frequency pattern, which has a specific
oscillation characteristic, will be accepted by the water provided
at our Wellness and Health Spa. This way we provide substance
and information. ]
Communication in water
Studies of the flow of protons through the hydration layer
around proteins have led to some interesting discoveries. Aiello
et al. (1973) described how the network of water molecules
and the protons migrating within the network create a communicating
sub-system with its own properties and characteristics. The
water-proton subsystem is capable of determining the macroscopic
behaviour of the system as a whole. A macromolecule imprints
its geometry on the water structure, and the water in turn,
influences the stability of the macromolecular array. In other
words, the stabilization involves a cooperative geometrical-motional
feedback that is imposed by and upon the imprinting macromolecule.
The living matrix is a communication network, and the organized
water molecules surrounding the physical fabric are an intimate
part of that network, serving as a proton-conducting subsystem.
Proticity
The flow of energy in the from of protons has been termed
proticity by Mitchell (1976), Electricity refers to the flow
of electrons, and proticity refers to the flow of protons from
the various sites where they are generated in cells. According
to Mitchell: A generator of proticity plugged through the membrane
at any point can act as a source of protonic power that can
be drawn upon by a suitable consumer unit plugged through the
membrane at any other point, even when the producer and consumer
units are quite far apart on a molecular scale....the use of
proticity for power transmission in biology is unique in it
ubiquitous occurrence and wide range of application. A ‘generator
of proticity’ that has been identified by biochemist
is the mitochondrion, the powerhouse of the cell. Proticity
is conducted along the DNA water filaments described by Clementi
et al. Communication between the hydration and counter ion
layers and the DNA molecule is continuous. No charge can take
place in one without a corresponding change in the other. One
of the influences water has is to greatly influence the properties
within DNA or other macromolecules. (Pethig 1979) Thus the
water molecule plays a key role in the functioning of the molecules.
We do not take our water for granted
Hydrotherapy is based on the physical properties of living
water, acting from outside the body mainly during the time
of its application. The underlying cause of the disease being
treated is not affected, so hydrotherapy must be considered
as an adjunct, as a palliative measure facilitating the activity
of other remedies or spontaneous healing. Water has the ability
to store and transmit heat, it has solvent properties. It has
the ability to change states within a narrow easily obtainable
temperature range. As ice, it is an effective cooling agent.
The water used at our Health and Wellness Spa Retreat is non-toxic
and alive.
Physiological effect of hydrotherapy
The physiological effects of hydrotherapy may be defined as
thermal, mechanical, and chemical. In order to promote healing,
either locally or systemically, it is important to maximize
circulation of well oxygenated, nutrient-rich, toxin lows blood..
Hydrotherapy techniques are one of the most effective means
of accomplishing this, if used in conjunction with proper levels
of activity, optimal nutritional intake, and adequate detoxification.
There are four basic modifications of blood movement within
the body:
- Increased rate of blood flow through and organ or area
of the body.
- Decreased rate of blood flow through an organ or area of
the body.
- Increased volume of blood in an anaemic area
- Decreased volume of blood in a congested area.
In order to accomplish these modification there are five relevant
physiological principles.
The revulsive effect, the derivative effect, the spinal cord
reflex, the collateral circulation, and the arterial trunk
reflex.
Revulsive effect
The revulsive effect provides a means of increasing the rate
of blood flow through an organ or other body part, such as
an extremity. At our Health and Wellness Spa Retreat we find
that the most effective way to achieve this is by means of
using alternating hot and cold either as compresses, baths,
showers, sprays, etc. Only life water is used with these applications.
Derivative effect
The derivative effect may be considered the opposite of the
revulsive effect. Its primary intent is to alter the volume
of blood in an organ or area of the body. This is best obtained
by the prolonged use of either cold or heat depending on whether
one wants to draw blood into an area (hot application) or to
drive blood out of an area (cold application). As an example
of the derivative effect would be the prolonged application
of heat to the feet, as with a hot footbath, in order to decrease
congestion in the head.
Spinal reflex effect
The spinal reflex effect provides a means of affecting a distant
area of the body through a local application. In view of the
facility with which cutaneous stimulation elicits reflex visceral
reactions, particularly vasomotor changes and changes in the
tonic state of the visceral musculature, it must be apparent
that many visceral disorders, particularly disorders of the
gastrointestinal tract, may be influenced beneficially by the
appropriate stimulation of the corresponding cutaneous area.
Collateral circulation effect
Hot application to the superficial area will dilate the blood
vessel of the surface, The blood is drawn to the superficial
area, concurrently decreasing blood flow in the deep areas.
Arterial trunk effect
It has been observed that prolonged cold applied over the
trunk of an artery produces contraction of the artery and it
s branches distal to the application. An example of this effect
would be the application of prolonged cold to the area of the
femoral artery in the groin in order to decrease blood flow
in a foot or ankle that had sustained an acute injury which
resulted in either internal or external haemorrhage
Health and Wellness Spa and Naturopathic Medicine
Our facilities are unique since the living water facilitates
healing. We use it with our food, medicines and preparations,
as vital carrier of the message contained in the prescribed
substance. Our salt water pool, therapeutic showers, and salt
water spa’s, all make use of this water which is as Nature
intended it to be. Clean , non toxic, vibrant and alive. The
combination of naturopathic medicine and the health and wellness
spa is ideally suited to participants at our Health
and Wellness Spa Retreat, where results are obtained during the 21 days
sojourn which are unequalled by other methods.
