 Dr. Pieter C. Taams is a member of the Canadian and the British
Columbia Naturopathic Association, the College of Naturopathic
Physicians of British Columbia, and
the American Naturopathic medical Association.
Leiden State University Medical school is his alma mater where he obtained
his doctorate degree in medicine in 1966. In 1968 he enrolled in the post graduate
programs in psychiatry at the University of Alberta Medical School and the
British Columbia Health Sciences Center hospitals of the University of British
Columbia. In 1972 he became a licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada.
His interest and involvement in ortho molecular medicine, ortho molecular
psychiatry, bio energetic medicine, naturopathy, and homeopathy started in
the early seventies, leading up to becoming a member of the Academy of Ortho
Molecular Psychiatry because of the recognition of meritorious contributions
to that field.
In the early eighties he enrolled at the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine,
and obtained his doctorate degree in 1986. The license to practice naturopathy
in the Province of British Columbia was granted that same year, after passing
the provincial examinations of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of B.C.
Dr. Taams served as a member of the Board of the College of Naturopathic Physicians
of British Columbia.
